Finger and classic palm exercise with coins.

Thought I’d pass on a little tip I’ve discovered to help develop palming strength and technique, during the day I spend many hours at work on the keyboard and, determined to improve my coin work, I have started typing while holding out a coin in each hand. Started with an old penny and gradually worked down in size. Bit of a pain and the odd ‘clunk’ at the start, as I lost control of the coins, woke a few people in the office, but found the finger movement and hand posture has worked wonders in keeping the coins under control and, away from the keyboard, my hands look relaxed while holding out the coins. I know most of you will have this sorted but to anyone starting out, or rediscovering coin work, this may help exercise those muscles.

Hope this helps someone or proves a 10 minute distraction for others.

G

I dont really do coin magic, cards are hard enough. I do dabble occasionally though, and i too try and do as many normal tasks as possible whilst palming a coin.

One day i was walking through the town centre and some chavs asked if i had ' 10 p i could borrow mate '. What was the coin i was palming? Yes my friends! 10 of your finest english pence! I walked over and produced the coin, seemingly out of thin air. Dont you just love those moments?

good lord...Its ok to say Palm.
Its only part of the hand, and everybody has at least one, even if they dont do magic. :)

It's awkward for newer members to work out what is and isn't allowed. Someone should do a list of all the stuff that is allowed!!!

I thought that. But to be honest if it's not allowed, it wont let you.

Fair enough, wasn't sure myself, so now edited. True everyone should know palming but didn't want a black mark now I'm feeling confident enough to start adding to the forum and not just picking up tips.
