Best resource is probably

http://www.bargainmagic.co.uk/

It checks prices against quite a number of the best uk online magic shops.

I highly recommend Magic Box (just click on it). But, I AM biased...

Check 'em out, anyway. You'll be pleased with both the prices and the service. They are also a brick and mortar shop, which is a bonus (a great many magicians these days find the purely internet based shops to be a bad way to go, since it offers no outlet for local magicians to meet, which is an important function fulfilled by the brick and mortar shops).

Mike.

I placed an online order to Top Secret Magic on Saturday afternoon of this past weekend and it arrived in the post on Monday morning (2 items). EXCELENT!

I also placed an online order to Magic Box at the same time and that arrived on Tuesday morning (6 items). Extremely happy with the speed of the service!

Both had been posted normal fist class Royal Mail.

However, I placed an online order with World Magic Shop on the evening of Friday 19 November for a single deck of cards (Chameleon Deck) and it still hasn't arrived at the time of writing.

I had an email last week saying that it would be posted that day and a response on Monday of this week to a further enquiry that said it HAD been posted that day. Hopefully I'll get before Xmas!

I've also ordered from Penguin Magic and MagicTrick.co.uk in the past and have also received excellent service from these two

I thought it best to let you know that the order from World Magic Shop arrived today (2nd December) with a free £5 voucher as an apology for the late delivery.

The long wait may have just been a one off!

Here's a few to try. I've bought from them all with no problems:

The Magic Gadget
Magic Box
Penguin Magic - Free delivery.
MagicTrick.co.uk
Trickshop ok for downloads.

Hope this helps. :)

Penguinmagic - free delivery

Postby Bcfaigg » Dec 8th, '04, 13:10

Andy, are you saying you got free delivery to the UK?
Let me know as I have just placed an order and had to dish out US$11.95 for delivery - I will be a bit miffed if I discover that I should have had free delivery.
Still, notwithstanding, Penguinmagic are excellent value.

If you're using the UK (well, Europe, actually) site of Penguin, then yes, it's free delivery.

http://www.penguinmagic.com/europe/

All the prices are quoted in £s too.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news...

I can confirm what Zack is saying as I've ordered from the UK Penguin site and they specifically say that it's a free delivery service across Europe, and, if it's in stock and not shipped the next day then the product is free.

I've not had anything free as yet so I would suggest that their service is ultra reliable.
