Rubber Band Magic

Postby Lenoir » Jan 14th, '09, 15:47

I know nothing of magic with Rubber bands, can anyone suggest a DVD or book that is say...the bible or an excellent resource for bands?

Cheers!

I don't own it, but Nabil Murday's Link! DVD is supposed to be very good. Check out the reviews.

Hi Lenoir;

I am also looking for some DVD on the subject. I found two sources, one by Dan Harlan - Magic with Rubber Bands, the other by Russel Leeds - Banding around.

Both have been reviewed here :

I am going to order Russel Leeds, because I read the first part of his DVD integrates 7 standard moves in one routine. This might be just what I need to get started.

I don't know if I'm allowed to mention that there is also a good review of "Banding around" on the Cafe?

Looking forward to read people's view on the subject :)

Regards
LP

You should also check out Joe Rindfleisch extreme rubber band dvd.
It's the only rubber band dvd I've got and it's got loads of great tricks that I've really enjoyed.

My only real experience of rubber band magic comes from Russell Leeds' DVD, Banding Around.

I can't compare it to anything else that's out there, because I've never spent much time with bands, but I can say that Banding Around is packed full of great material. The routines are nicely constructed, and they're also very thoroughly taught.

I had no interest in bands at all until I saw Russell's work (I shot and edited the DVD, in case you're wondering why someone with no interest in rubber band magic would be watching it), and it made me want to try some of the routines for myself. Some of them are outrageously fiendish (in an oh-my-goodness-that's-sly sort of way).

I perform alot of rubberband magic, and all the dvds that have been mentioned are great,

But i really would say that Nabil Murday's link, and Russell Leeds banding around are suberb.

I would say get both. :D
