Twisting Fate by Adam Bloom

Postby Sinclair » Jan 13th, '09, 14:47

The comedian Adam Bloom invented a card trick called Twisting Fate, seen here being shown to Matt Lucas and Jimmy Carr:

Has anyone got this? How tricky is the second phase?

No, if i recall he reviewed it on the main page. What i do remember is, Duncan saying that you get enough bits and pieces to stock a small W.H.Smiths.

There are two reviews on emagictricks.co.uk - http://www.emagictricks.co.uk/product_r ... ts_id=5340 -and there are probably many more on other suppliers' sites. Not sure how useful or independent they will be but, as we don't seem to have a Review on TM, that's about all we can offer for now!

I gotta say, it was fun to perform as a one off at the club for my magical buddies, but no way will this ever go into a workers routine. There is just far too much setup before, far too much to manage during, and far too much to clean up after.

Like I say, it is a fun little routine, and if you can pad it out with plenty of jokes as opposed to just a demonstration of skill like in the demo video to his mates, then it may be useful for a semi intimate cabaret or parlour setting.
