I'm Dave and, although I'm really interested in magic - and have been for years - I'm not really much good at it!

I keep trying, but palming coins and cards seems to simply an exercise in futility for me so I'm afraid I'll never quite reach the heights of a Jeff McBride or other such florid manipulators.

I'm interested in most magic - particularly cards and a bit of mentalism.

Having read Jim Steinmeyer's "Hiding the Elephant" has sparked a bit of interest in the whole history of the art too.

Well, back to the day job and then home for another round of false shuffles!

The Tm folk from around Leeds have a meeting once a month of so. We meet up in the train station spoons at about 11 then spend the day drinking and showing each other, and random bar folk, our latest ellusionist purchases.

Would be good to meet others and I might even get a few tips from you on how to false shuffle a deck of cards properly..without dropping them all over!
