Hello from London

Postby Roland » Dec 5th, '04, 23:52

Hi,

Well this is a new world for me.

Having been interested in magic all my life, I've actively been practising it for about 6 months now. The more I learn the more I see that there is to learn...

I'm interersted in mental magic, mainly stemming from an interest and understanding of psychology. In the past I've learn't about body language and graphology, though I suggest that these are both sciences and not tricks.

In the past few months I've become a passable cold reader, its surprising how the Forer effect works. I've got the hang of doing simple forces and predictions. I'm now getting more interested in manipulation in all its guises!

Talk to you on line, where do I start?

Roland

Hi and welcome!
where do I start?

I'd suggest you spend some time checking through the Review section as there are reviews (obviously!) of tricks, routines, DVD's, shows etc which cover just about all topics of magic. There will probably be some further discussion on each one and, by the time you wade through that lot not only will your head be rattling with information overload, it will probably be Easter! :D

The reviews section is a great place to start, and we have many professional mentalists here - not to mention many more enthusiastic amateurs who woul love to help you out.
