Hi all!
Ok, I am looking to buy a new card effect - not bought anything for ages!
On Alakazam two effects caught my eye - Colossal Blizzard and Intuition... Has anyone else watched the demo videos?

http://www.alakazam.co.uk/acatalog/Hot_List_1.html#a144

I have the original Blizzard, but never use it! However, this version does look a lot better! And I am pretty stumped by Intuition too...

Any thoughts one and all?

From the description of Collossal Blizzard I have to assume it's not infallible.

It states "Self-contained. Only 52 cards are used. No deck switches! No gimmicked cards! No difficult sleights!" so you have to use your imagination and think of what else will have to be involved. Real magic doesn't exist, so unless the description of the effect is a lie, and gimmicks, gaffs, sleights, switches and/or more than 52 cards are used, this is surely nothing other than a verbal force/equivoque (especially considering Kenton Knepper is credited with involvement). Notice how the performance vids are edited so you never see the process through which the spectators arrive at their selection.

I'd save your money on that one, Bill.

Are you hell bent on purchasing a one trick wonder?! :)

Between the two, I'd go for Colossal Blizzard. You're carrying round a gaff deck in both situations, so I'd go for the one that's more unusual, and that is in some ways logical to only be used for a certain trick. However much the makers of "Intuition" feel they've come up with some amazingly fair prediction effect, you're lumbering round with a deck that's supposedly normal yet gaffed to the nines for one effect. If I'm gonna haul round an entire gaffed deck it better be for a closer, but I can't see a prediction effect playing brilliantly for a closer... :?

havnt seen intuition, but collosal blizzard is great for performing standing up

i personally like it! not quite as clean as the standard blizzard, nor can the whole deck be examined...but there is no need to!
