Thread Boss vs Standard ITR

Postby Ross Gardiner » Jan 25th, '09, 03:53

Hey. I own the spider pen and even though I love it, the t****d breaks alot because of snagging and I would like a standard ITR. I have narrowed it down to either the Kevlar Standard ITR (http://www.thisismagic.com/html/kevlar_standard_itr.html ) or the Thread Boss ITR (http://www.thisismagic.com/html/thread_boss_itr.html).
I know the difference in retracton, tension and size between them but I have questions. If you feel they will be exposing too much (although you can go to the website and be told what it does) then dont answer them....

1. Do you need to buy a refill if the t***** breaks?? Because with the spider pen, it gets tangled if it breaks and then a refil is necessary.

2. Where is each designed to be hidden on you? or does that not really matter?

3. Which t***** breaks more?

Thankss, this is my first post so be gentle. lol. I have seen people *** the T word before so I thought i would to be safe.

If you're not that used to handling IT then I'd go for the Kevlar reel due to it's slower retraction. However the Kevlar is large in comparison and is positioned best inside jacket/shirt/jumper near the sleeve in my opinion as you can then run a length down the inside sleeve or it can come up and round the ear/head for levitations.

The Boss one can be hidden more easily inside trouser waistband for example.

What is more important is the type of IT. Some IT snaps and snags really easy whilst others are slick and silky and less prone to breakage.

(I'd advise you go and make a post in Introductions to tell us about yourself then you'll find other board members willing to help.
Also this post will help you http://talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic28382.php )
