In Cambridge because of my previous show "The Live Zone" and because of my Fridays feature on the breakfast show I do "105Live" which is Live Zone condensed into a feature I am seen as a champion of local music and a huge supporter of the live music scene in Cambridge.

The concerts thread made me think "but what about all those gigs with local bands noones heard of???" so recommend bands from your local scene you think people should listen to!!!

I'll start it rolling...

TellIt To The Marines

The Winter Kings

Federal Black 40

Other not so local bands I think you should check out are...

Fluid Lines

Hansom Pilot

If you do approach any of them, tell them Jordan C sent you!! lol

Dead7 are the biggest local band in my area
Headsnap are my favorite local band
Honorable mentions:
Mysteriach
Faith In Ashes
Putrefying Cadaverment(sp) Its a grindcore band and I'm good friend with the drummer
and neglected saints(the band I'm in)

thats all I can really think of for now, my local music scene isn't as grand as I'd like it to be

and all these bands have myspace pages

In Berkshire/West London area I'd recommend ROUGH JUSTICE and REPLICANT.

(The fact that I play guitar in both of them is purely coincidental!)

ah we cant limit the swearing, but I will warn you, we have two songs ready to go, and one is about my disdain for religeon and the other is about suicide, thats not an issue is it. Also getting the songs to you could be tough as I am in America and you are across the pond as the saying goes. I'm desperate for exposure but posting from here to you would be expensive

That's where the wonders of mp3's, presspacks and email come in to play!!! Sounds like I'll like our stuff given the bands you have posted you like but if it turns out to be inappropriate for breakfast we have other shows on the station I can bring in on the game!!

So... my favorite band on the list I posted earlier, headsnap, has lost thier singer. He was a cool guy(I've every band on that list but one) but had some nasty addictions and decided his health was more important than music so he quit.

Now I'm sad.

My band just posted photos on our webpage *myspace.com/neglected saintsofmetal* so please view rate and tell us what you think. for reference, I'm the one in the black and the guy in the Bunny Head and later, the Guy Fawkes mask is our drummer. The mask is mine but the bunny head threw off his depth perception so he's using that now.[/url]
