I own about 8 magic books and in several of the older ones it talks about the best way to become proficiant in magic is to learn from a magician. As of two months ago I thought - "Great idea but I don't know any" now thanks to TalkMagic I do and I want to publically say thank you to him.

I'm talking about none other than this forum's Boywonder who I have had the pleasure of meeting for a coffee and some very impressive magic once a month for the last couple of months.

Just for the sheer pleasure of talking about magic Boywonder has shared much of his knowledge with me, demonstrated a wide range of card techniques and tricks and on the last occassion put on a mini show to dazzle my kids who were most impressed!

I figured I was going to just sit and talk to a magician and that would be it but I have found that as well as chatting I am learning. Including that I have much to learn!

Those books were right; the best way to learn is from a magician. So thank you Boywonder and I look forward to meeting up in January.

It's great when the boards prove to be so useful, I too began meeting up with a magician I had met on a board and I'm now full time in magic. It certainly does make a huge difference :)

Thanks Archie, but theres really no need!

All that matters to me is that i have the chance to share my experience, knoledge, storites etc with someone that also takes the same interest as me, as i cant talk to my school mates about my magic, as it doesnt involve sitting infront of a PS2 all day.

Thankyou though, Archie, as i really enjoy meeting you monthly!
