The. Best. Letter. Ever. Image

I hope Richard sent a personal reply to that poor man; he certainly deserves it. Genius. Pure genius.

A few years ago I flew to USA. Since Im a vegetarian, I had to book my meal at least a week before hand. On the flight there, I didnt get a meal at all becuase they had given it away to a halal meat eater who hadnt booked a meal. On the flight back I was given a lump of RAW tofu floating in a dish of brine (apparently they thought I was VEGAN, not vegetarian)

...and we all know that the only thing vegans can eat is raw tofu in brine.

Disgusting people...

I guess I'm the odd man out. I didn't find any part of it funny.

It's certainly written with the intention of being funny, and I'm sure the author couldn't contain himself while writing it. Stoner - I think the letter is the epic fail, here.

I'm with Demitri on this one. The writer thinks he's hilariously witty while simultaneously being trenchant, ascerbic, mordant, and all the rest of it. But he ain't.

The food looks disgusting, and the fellow obviously had a bad flight and may well deserve an apology. But I'm happy to leave that as a personal matter between him and Virgin.

(And if missing a single meal makes him "hungrier than he's ever been in his adult life", then he doesn't really have much in that life to complain about, does he?)

It turns out it was just a pathetic publicity stunt for Virgin. And didn't it work a treat, eh?
