Magicians in and around Slough and West London?

Postby resilientarmadillo » Jan 3rd, '09, 11:39

I'm looking for magicians who live around Slough and West London who are interested in getting a group together and meeting reasonably regularly, perhaps once or twice a month, and talking magic over a pint and a bite to eat.

I'll leave it at that for now - let me know what you think.

There is the TM London meet up which happens once a month if that isnt too much out of your way.
Have a look at "The great big friendly TM meet" thread which is under this regional meetings heading. Would be good to garner another convert.

Plus the fact we have no armadillos at our London meetings, resilient or otherwise!

Well there seem to be a few of us in the West London area so it should be possible to make this a goer - I would be interested if it was an evening affair.

I am from Twickenham. I believe there are a few from the West London area - I am sure the is someone from Ealing, and someone from Middlesex.

I'm new on TM and I'm near Reading, so might be interested in a get-together this side of London.

Fantastic - looks like there could be four or five of us interested. If some are in Uxbridge and some in Reading, how about Slough as a meeting point? We can always move it around and meet in Uxbridge or elsewhere next time.

How about one evening in the middle of March? Meet in a pub - get to know each other, do introductions etc. ?

Suggestions for days/dates/locations?

About the only evenings I have free at the moment are Mondays. Outskirts of Slough might be better (I don't fancy getting mugged :? )

Monday's are good - nothing else on!

How about somewhere in Windsor rather than Slough? Only a few miles away, nicer location, probably more friendly punters/tourists to demo things to, if we are so inclined?!? :D

march is no good for me. But, rather than windsor, Burnhams good.
pubs, people, and not to busy so you can actually have a conversation

I might well be up for a West London-ish gathering. I'm from Ealing so all these places are within a reasonable distance.

My main problem at the moment is not having regular contact with other magicians since I put the magic on hold a few years ago. Now looking to get back into it properly and a regular get-together might be just what I need.

True, but I'd quite like to start with a small informal gathering that meets less frequently.
