Here in Spain things are a little more complicated. You rarely carry more than one s&s set in your pocket but people might lend you euros of any European country. I don't want to make changing the country of origin of the coin a part of the trick, so I rarely borrow coins for a performance.
However, I carry with me an Italian 2 euro, two different Spanish 50 cent pieces, and one Dutch 50 cent piece just in case I can use them. All nests.
In many s&s routines the spectator ends up with the coin in their hands. Until all the different European coins have blended people still look at which ones they have in their change.
Anyway, what it all boils down to is that if I want to use gaffs for any particular routine I am forced to take extra care. Blu Tac is working well, so I'll be using it till the non-gaffed coin routines I do outnumber the gaffed ones.
