Penguinmagic Delivery Times

Postby Bcfaigg » Dec 29th, '04, 14:50

Quick question - has anyone ordered anything from Penguin Magic in the last couple of weeks? I spent about £150 on the website, and received an email stating that the package had been posted on 13 December, but have still not received it.
I am well aware that with Xmas post, delivery takes longer, but was curious to see how promptly other people have received orders placed in the last few weeks (from the UK). How long would people expect a parcel to ship from the US over the Xmas period?
I'll leave it a few more days before emailing them to chase it up.
Thanks

a large order may have been caught by customs and you may find you will have to pay import tax or it could just be american christmas and uk christmas crossover.

I placed three separate orders with Penguin after your date and two arrived within three days and the other after four days.

All ordered via the UK Penguin site

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

I'm still waiting for items ordered from the US - not Penguin - but which were confirmed as despatched December 10th. I'll give it the rest of this week to arrive and then start chasing them Tuesday after the bank holiday.

Thanks for the replies.
Hopefully it is just Royal Mail/US Mail being slow. It is unfortunate that now Penguinmagic have a uk website - if I had known, I would have waited an extra week and ordered from there - saving myself about £7 in postage as well.
Ah well. Hope your stuff turns up Mandrake.
