I look forward to this somewhat apprehensively - I count myself as a Red Dwarf fan (although was never the obsessive type - I never had a t-shirt and I didn't used to use the word "smeg" as an every day exclamation :D ) but vaguely remember watching an episode last year and thinking, "this is sh*t!"

I do however miss the Red Dwarf food parties some family friends used to have. They'd cram loads of people into a few rooms in their house, synchronise the TVs to show the same thing and watch a whole series in an evening, eating the food that came on as it was mentioned.

Each person who came had to provide one dish for everyone else - it was great to see how people would interpret "urine recyc", dog food, deep-fried space weevils etc

Oh wow! :o

Series 8 trailed off a bit, but they've had enough time to think of something great.

Those food parties sound insane. You must have got through a lot of Pot Noodles.

I went and saw an episode of red dwarf filmed.

Indeed you can hear me laughing several times, if you watch " Cammile".

it took hours to shoot,( Because Kryten kept on loosing his face) but it was facinating.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

Anyone fancy a sing-song? Altogether now....

Its cold outside,
There's no kind of atmosphere,
I'm all alone,
More or less.
Let me fly,
Far away from here,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun.

I want to lie,
Shipwrecked and comotoase,
Drinking fresh,
Mango juice,
Goldfish shoals,
Nibbling at my toes,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun,
Fun, fun, fun,
In the sun, sun, sun.

Tongue Tied

The Cat: Lister and Rimmer:

When I saw you for the first time (first time)
My knees began to quiver (quiver)
And I got a funny feeling (feeling)
In my kidneys and my liver (digestive system baby)

My hands they started shakin' (shakin')
My heart began a-thumpin' (boom boom boom)
My breakfast left my body (huey huey huey)
It all really tells me something

Girl you make me tongue tied (tongue tied)
Tongue tied, whenever you are near me (near me)
Tied tongue (tied tongue)
Tied tongue (tied tongue)
Whenever you're in town

I saw you 'cross the dance floor (dancin')
I thought of birds and bees (reproductive system baby)
And when I tried to speak to ya (talk talk)
My tongue unraveled to my knees (flippety-flippety-flop)

I tried to say I love you (love you)
But it came out kind of wrong, girl (wrong girl)
It sounded like "Nunubididoo" (tongue tied)
Nuh mur nuh murh ni nong nurl

'Cause you make me tongue tied (tongue tied)
Tongue tied, whenever you are near me (near me)
Be-dobby-durgle (dobby-durgle)
Tongue tied (tongue tied)
Whenever you're around

Oh I'm beggin' on my knees
Sweet, sweet darling, listen please
Understand me when I say
Bedurble-diggle-doggle-dooby-doggle-durgle-day

I'm trying to say nungy-nangy (nangy-nungy)
Ningy-nongy, why can't I tell you clearly (clearly)
Be-dobby-durgle (dobby-durgle)
Durgle-dobby (durgle-dobby)
Whenever you're around (around)
Whenever you're around (around)

The Arnold Rimmer Song

If you're in trouble, he will save the day
He's brave and he's fearless, come what may
Without him, the mission would go astray
He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer

Without him, life would be much grimmer
He's handsome, trim, and no one's slimmer
He will never need a Zimmer
He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer

More reliable than a garden Strimmer
He's never been mistaken for Yul Brynner
He's not bald and his head doesn't glimmer

Master of the wit and the repartee
His command of space directives is uncanny
How come he's such a genius? Don't ask me
Ask Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer

He's also a fantastic swimmer
And if you play your cards right, then he just might come round
for dinner

[Xtended version only:]

He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
No rhymes left now apart from quimmer
We hope they fade us out before we get to schwimmer
Fade out you stupid plimmer

"digestive system, baby"

Edit: There should be a comma in that.
