Dear TalkMagic community,
I would like to bring forth an issue that deals with my own private website and maybe start a discussion on it (the issue).
I have started a semipro website to promote my type of magic and services. The idea to also put a video on my site was found through a friend of mine Rob Labby (The amazing Rob) from USA. Together with a friend of his we made a couple of recordings and through some editing there is now one video to demonstrate my way of magic acts, text in verse and rhyme in combination with a rountine I have modelled. That
Tale of the Coffee Spoon is in German, but one can get an idea what it supposed to be all about. Now there is of course low buget and little time to get a 100% demo video. Is it recomendable to post things like this on the web? People will scrutinse the video all over again and might come up to some clues that might even be right cause of some mistakes that happened. Does this or other instances also posted on youtube deminish the effect and the esteem of professionals or magicians. Shall there be no display of skill to promote or shall there be only professional teasers that trigger the attention like with so many magic webshop products? Shall one offer a whole routine though it is imperfect?
Here is the link for those who want to see it:
