Aaaaaaarrrrggggghhhhhhhhh!!

Noooooooooooooooooooo!!

We've just had our house rewired and everything is a bit of a mess right now, what with the redecorating. So what does the wife do? Decides there is too much c*** (not the best) lying around and uses the oportunity to "clear out" some stuff. After a misunderstanding or two, she bins that box I had under the bed which contained, amongst other things, my copy of The Book of Haunted Magick. The other things I can live with - some decks of cards and other accessories, but that book was one of my favourites. And just my luck, it was bin day today.

That will teach me for keeping my treasures under the bed.

I have, however, just purchased it again from Magicbox. So happy days!

I recommend you invest in a cupboard or some bookshelves and make sure that it's clearly off limit

I manage to avoid such problems.

But at what cost?

My magic paraphernalia is usually kept very tidy and hidden from prying eyes. But the rewiring caused more disruption than we anticipated, and as a result some of my stuff was kept temporarily in some boxes under the bed. Thank the lord she didn't bin the other box, which contained most of my DVDs - all my Derren Brown ones (including TDP), Simon Drake's Secret Cabaret, Get Nyman...the list goes on and on.

I have now labelled all six sides of my other boxes in permanent marker, using a rather large font. And she has the cheek to say I'm overreacting! Right, that does it. I am going to empty the contents of her wardrobe into the bin truck next week.

I hope she doesn't "overreact".

We will now have two minute's silence in honour of Sunny's lost items...
