e-magic tricks changed premises in recent months but they are still in operating as far as I know. How long since you e-mailed them?

I've had no reply either...

I have ordered a few things and I am still wating to hear from them about the rest of my order.

Everything seemed fine for the first order- I have tried to contact them on several occasions. I had a problem with something I recieved and have heard nothing about it.

Has anyone got a contact number or alternative e.mail,

Hope to get this sorted out.

David

Mrgoat, thank you very very much, this is just around the corner from me....well almost. I emailed last week, & again yesterday...nothing. What does happen is you have to afirm that you sent an email by replying to one they send out, so you do....then you get another one....so you do etc etc. So I am getting a little worried & annoyed now. How long ago did they move premises? They have the old address on the website,& say to send any returns here.

David did you get this as well?

The Radlett Road address is very old and dates back to the previous owner. The new owners have moved from their first address and are now on-line only rather than having a bricks and mortar shop as well. The returns address as shown on the website is likely to be more up to date:

2 Lingmell Close
Bolton
Lancs BL1 5EG
ENGLAND

Bear in mind that these folks were at the Blackpool convention and, like one or two other magic supply sites, may not have been back in action until the middle of last week. In any event, separate attempts to contact them and draw attention to this thread are being made so hang fire for a while.

We ordered from them around a month ago, received 2 out of 3 items of which one was faulty and since then we cant contact them in any way, cant get the remaining item on order, and cant get a response on the faulty item. This is at best a terrible service and at worst fraud (bearing in mind that it is illegal under UK law for them to offer the items for sale if they are not available). The phone number for them says that they have moved and are currently moving the telephone line but this have been the case for more than 3 months that we know of. The website says they are a real shop but as we know from above they are not. I think the best bet is stay clear!

Whois is hardly the best way to get contact information for an online shop.. they don't have to be correct, kept up to date, or the contact details of the person you want

It sounds like it might be best to steer clear of emagictricks until they get their act together. It seems like a few people have had difficulties in getting hold of them if there are any problems with orders. To be honest, it's not very professional; I'm surprised they haven't settled down yet after moving premises all those months ago. The phone line at the very least should've been sorted out by now so customers don't get the same recorded message that has been on there for months.

It doesn't bode well when customers have to ask how to contact your business on an internet forum because they're getting no joy from emails and/or phone calls.

On their homepage...

Welcome to emagictricks, the UK's leading distributer and a real shop too!

So do they have a bricks and mortar shop or not? If not, that statement needs deleting. I don't mean to go on and sorry if I sound harsh, but customer service is so important that I don't have much time for companies who leave customers in the dark, regardless of the reason. If they are having problems getting on their feet after the move, or after Blackpool or whatever, then at least post a message on the website informing customers. Being inconvenienced is not half as bad if you know the reason why. It's the not knowing that is frustrating and is what gets customers irate.

Sorry. Rant over.

As was mentioned earlier, these concerns have been passed on by other methods in an attempt to get some sort of response and settlement.
