Flash Paper ignition

Postby philmetz » Mar 5th, '09, 07:13

Hi
In a show called How I Met Your Mother, Barney does a trick where he throws a spark from one hand to the other. I assume he uses Flash Paper. How does he ignite it though?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqjaPZEt0KY That video shows him doing it

Hi, we generally prefer if people introduce themselves first over in the introductions section, but that does not look like flash paper to me. It could just as easilly be done with the likes of a funken ring.

Its television Phil. It could be just about anything.
But not flash powder. You never throw flash powders or paper, or woll, from one hand to another because it burns at a very high heat.
As ian said, if it's just a spark, its probably a funken ring. I wont know for sure till later when i get to see the video.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

IMHO It's a finger flasher, with wool/paper and a bit of sparkly stuff plus a big cut in filming between the two effects.
