The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari (remake)
I don't have high hopes for remakes of movies. This film wasn't different but than I watched it. The acting, wasn't the best but that, surprisingly wasn't necessary to enjoy this film.
What is really cool about this film is, because it is low budget, and the director wanted to stay as true as possible to the original, he shot the entire movie on a green screen and added the original movie as the background to the movie. It was very cool. this is a brand new idea and has never been done before. It is very cool to watch and is a great film, I think.
I suggest it to anyone looking for a cool film with a very visual and unique look to it.
It's fun to watch and has a very creepy look to it. I highly recommend it.
Another noteworthy thing about the movie is that all the shadows are digitally added. For anyone who has worked with editing equipment understands how painstaking this process must have been. Anyone who has never worked with editing programs probably understands how hard this might have been.
A very cool and experimental film go see it 8/10!
Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.
