I have now posted my third post, so figured I should introduce myself.
I in Denmark where I attend University, and am new to magic, though I remember having some magic stuff as a child, started out (as I figure many do these days) by watching Derren Brown on Channel 4. Then I read Tricks of the Mind, and got hooked. First on mentalism, then magic in general, then I took a certain liking for card magic.
As a typical amateur, I wasted a lot of money on buying single effects, most of which I regret now.
Apart from the Mindpower and Brainwave decks, I have put them all in a box in the back of my closet. For a more... civilized age.
Now I'm left with a deck of cards, and a couple of books (Royal Road and Expert Card Technique, plus Annemann and Corinda). From what I understand, those should provide me with material for many years to come
