Phil Goldstein - The Colour Series

Postby philipsw » Mar 26th, '09, 20:11

I was just chatting to Replicant about my set of the original 'colour' booklets, and he thought that someone on here might have an idea of what they are worth. They're in pretty good condition. I'm not planning to sell them at the moment, but I am curious as to what they might be worth one day!

A lot...I'm not a collector but I'd imagine an original set is worth quite a lot. I'm curious as to how much they are as well....

Might I ask, how did you obtain these booklets? Did you purchase them when they were first sold or, did you buy the collection from someone?

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Phil, didn't you say one of the booklets was signed? Or am I mistaken? Sorry, I was too busy checking out your books to be paying attention. Quite an impressive little library you have there. Image

Thanks for the compliment!

No these ones aren't signed. That was another book.

I bought these some time ago from someone else's collection.

They're not worth anything. About £1 each at most. Tell you what though, I'm feeling generous. I'll give you £10 for the set. How can you turn an offer like that down?

their resale value isnt what it used to be, since max re published them all as "prism."

but you could still get a few quid for them if you pop them on ebay, and target the right people.

Phil, I'll give you 11 squid AND a bar of Toblerone. Fruit 'n' nut, too.
