Northern Magic Circle Convention - next weekend!!

Postby northernmagic » Mar 29th, '09, 22:15

The NMC has been re-launched, re-juevenated, re-volutionized and has a top line up of artists and lecturers, which are: Gregory Wilson (USA), John Archer, Alana (GER), Dynamo, James Brown, Russ Brown, Amethyst, Tony Parx, Michael Jordan, Steve Naylor and John Palfryman. It's on Sat 4th and Sun 5th April 2009 at the arts centre in Southport.

It could be you!
It's not Willy Wonka's, it's Wilson Bonker's Lucky Golden Ticket.

If you are bonkers about Gregory Wilson and pre-register for the Northern Magic Circle convention before the end of March (3 days to go!), then at the convention registration desk you can select a free chocolate bar. If it contains a lucky golden ticket, you can go to a FREE, limited number masterclass taught by the one and only Mr Gregory Wilson.
If it doesn't contain a lucky golden ticket, then at least you get a tasty snack.

The masterclass tickets are only available via the lucky golden ticket draw. This is yet another first for a magic convention. A FREE masterclass, by a world class Pro.

Full weekend pass only £50 or £30 for 1 day, Book now- www.northernmagic.co.uk

Had a great time at the Parade! Thanks to all who made the weekend so much fun. A special thanks to those who 'volunteered' for the impromptu hypnosis show on the Saturday night. Amit Badiani (Leicester Hypnotist) and I hypnotised a good number over the weekend. I especially enjoyed mixing hypnosis with magic. Nick will never forget how it felt when I was able to name a playing card freely thought of!!

Thanks also to Greg Wilson for his enthusiasm for my lecture and the hypnosis... a convert in the making I think!

If anyone was there I would appreciate feedback for the hypnosis show and lecture.

James, the hypnotism was brilliant! I was part of the card selection with Nick and his reaction was absolutely brilliant!

I was most suprised that James and Amit both managed to hypnotise ME! I never thought it possible but it bleedin' well worked!

James, your lecture was very entertaining and you shared some very nice (and bold!) methods... a couple which I will be working on shortly (when slightly more important issues to me are done and dusted...!)

Overall, a very enjoyable convention, and I look forward to it again next year!

Hey everyone,

This years convention was awesome. Everything was great, the lectures were awesome and the hypnosis was great fun!

I was one of the people hypnotised, it was really fun, I really enjoyed it. Also thanks VERY much Amit for curing my phobia - I had a phobia of polystyrene. I literally could not touch the stuff but after Amit hypnotized me and cured it I was completely fine with holding a polystyrene cup. Despite the fact this may not seem like much of a big deal, it really is. I no longer have to avoid having a hot drink because it might be in a polystyrene cup.

Also thanks Amit for giving me a confidence booster! Whenever I squeeze my index finger and thumb together I feel really confident. This has already come in handy and is going to help me loads when being on stage!

It was also great to be hypnotized by Amit and James on stage. I wasn't made to do anything too embarrassing (unlike what a lot of hypnotists do to their subjects) so thank you both very much for not humiliating me :P

Thanks,

Steven

Hi all

Had an amzing time at the convention, nice to see everyone from the other NMC group :D

Due to traffic in Preston ( :x ) I only arrived half way through Greg Wilson's lecture. The stuff that I saw was amazing

And to (re)cap it all off I got to go to the masterclass! :D

It was fantastic

~I appear to be running out of positive words :?

The impromptu hypnosis from James and Amit was really cool  8)

I wish I had had time to have a go :(

James' lecture was really interesting...thanks for the education and confidence booster for dealing with hecklers :P can't thank you enough!

I could go on all day but I shall not bore anyone who might be reading this with more details but tbh

I CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR!!!
