Postby GoldFish » Jan 20th, '05, 18:21

Is there any way of increasing the file sharing upload size past 256kb?

Whilst on the subject of file sharing, it also appears that I now have the ability to upload files in any of the forums that I have access to. Is that meant to be the case?

Hi Goldfish

What size did you have in mind? Do you have a file you want to upload which is > 256?

Yes, files may be uploaded anywhere. There is currently no restriction

And yet whilst there is no restriction, it makes sense to keep uploaded files in the relevant file sharing areas...

Hi Laurence,

Would a Mb be too much? I've got a video of about 942kb which to load up and I'm having trouble getting it anywhere near 256kb.

Thanks alot, all the best,

Will

if using a wmv file you can upload about 2Mb in the filesharing forum

really? My video is .wmv format but it still won't load up. I'm trying to upload it in the Tutorial File Sharing forum.

Ok I've refilmed the clip, along with a second clip and they're both under 2MB. Should I be able to upload them into the tutorial filesharing forum?

I have. Hence why I asked, incase there was a problem.

Has it been changed recently? i.e. since my last post here?

Success! I think the problem lay in the fact that I was trying to add my files as a reply to post which already had a file in it so instead I just started a new thread.
