Hi everyone ^^
My name is rocky, and I am 26 years old.
Right now, I'm in S.Korea, which is my home country.
I was born here, but left to Canada when I was 12.
It is my first time here, and I am quite excited

I tried to meet Korean magicians, it has not been really successful, although I have been involved in some online websites where I posted some of my material (Not my creation of course). Hopefully, I can interact with some of Korea's magicians while I'm here.
I have been involved with magic over seven years, although it was on and off type of thing.
What got me started was my dream of being a teacher when I was a kid, but later turned into a great interest and hobby.
It really took off when I learned about the books on magic, such as Expert Card Techniques, and... quite fortunate? or unfortunately the first book I bought was Expert Card at the Table.
Since then, Dan and Dave's Trilogy helped me quite a bit, lots of Youtubes, and Other DVDs
I sort of gave up on flourishing, since the environment I perform in are all close-up, usually for friends or kids. I still practice, but I think it's not worth my entire practicing time if I'm not going to be doing manipulation performances, or just love the art of flourishing.
I am currently trying get culling going, after watching Kostya Kimlat's lecture.. I think once mastered, culling will possibly be more used technique and lifts.

Surfaced, Roadrunner Cull, Snap deal, Diving Board Double, Paul Harris Art of Astonishment, and ANDTHENSOME by D&D are my current projects, and having troubles all the time

I have few know-hows on the things that I've practiced, and have lots of troubles, so I thought forum where ideas can be exchanged would be a great idea! (since I'm alone in Korea and all... )
I am really surprised by Korean Magic community.. where the art has very short history, I think it really took of in the last ten years..
and imagine.. the only translated book is Tarbell.
NONE! are translated.
Most of them studied just from online, and some of them..are just crazy.
beautiful handling.. incredible dedication..
simply astonishing.
I met this kid yesterday..who is into umbrella stage magic, who hopes to become a magician and he literally had no teachers.
I was so... stunned to hear that he had one DVD to guide him, and his act was pretty good!!
Anyways.. off topic from my introduction hehe.. I digress alot..
I guess that should do for my lil intro,
and if you haven't watched Ellusionist Kent perform,
here it is
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ftKLhU-l23g
It is a must!! watch..
By far the best flourishing I've seen in my life.
I prefer him over all superhandz

Not only because he is a fellow Korean, but.. just watch and you will see.
anyways!!
I hope to share lots with you lot!

Cheers~!
