A wonderful thing the internet. You can find a forum on just about anything.

My Route here was as follows.

Use hypnosis at work from time to time. Became interested in mentalism on the back of that.

From mentalism to the mentalist element of magic. About 70% of my work is with children (I'm a Biomechanist specialising in paeds in the NHS). I've learnt a few things over the years to make paeds assessment run smoother (paper aeroplanes, baloon models, that style of thing).

I "got the bug" recently and have been trying to come up with tricks since. At the moment from what i can tell children are a much harder gig than adults but i figure i'll start with the grown ups and work back.

Hope to pick up some tips on the presentation side and the best ways to learn. My sleights are not great at the moment, i can stick a needle within a mm or two of a tibial or sural nerve with no problems but I'm all thumbs when it comes to palming cards! :? .

It's not really an optical illusion - it just looks like one!

Hiya, welcome to TM. Grab yourself a copy of Mark Wilson's Complete Course, it's a great book to get you going. :D
