Don Wayne Dancing Hank

Postby kevdragon » May 6th, '09, 13:13

Hi Everyone,

Could anyone point me in the right direction for locating information on Don Wayne's dancing hank. I've been reading through 'New Animations' and it mentions Don Wayne's Dancing Hank. Alas no mention of if it is available or any literature it is from. I'm assuming this is no longer available to buy after searching a number of online magic shops? And is it mentioned in any literature that I can buy?

Many Thanks

Kev

as far as i know, it is available , though ony from dealers in the states.

however if you just want to know about the workings, i can give you a source for that, although in truth, it's probably harder to track down than the dancing hank.
Its published in a book written by Ian adair called "a-la zombie plus". ( magic books by post may still have it. it was well under a tenner)

Just a thought, but one person that you might contact regarding the hank, is Duncan Trillo, because the wayne hank has been part of his manipulation act for many, many years.

Don Wayne's Dancing Handkerchief

Postby Allen Tipton » May 13th, '09, 11:41

Originally sold by Edwin at Supreme Magic. I still have one, although I altered the triangle shape & simplified the 'mechanism' somewhat.
Another 'improved' versioin was sold for a while by Repro 71 at £16:75 p. plus 50p p/p!!

This was a slightly heavier model and was given by me to my magic protege; a young professional.

Although the further very advanced model (the hanky can dance on the floor) and it's subsequent electronic versions by Sean Bogunia have greater variations (and much more difficult to handle) I still prefer the original lightweight.

Don Wayne's Hank

I have one, mint condition, with the registration# on the instructions as J1027 and dated 1978.

A very nice piece and I originally bought it for the concept and some mechanical inspiration to use with a zombie. Never did.

Feel free to contact me if interested or I can be of further assistance

Pranky Hank

Not a trick for most magicians I'm afraid--these days.

Those who might 'have the courage' to perform it, usually go to the Sean Bogunia site and buy one of his Dancing Handkerchiefs instead.

My PH has gone to my son in Portugal.
I hope it doesn't interrupt his studies at Lisbon University too much.

However in spite of being the most intelligent member of my family I think, even with the high qualifications, he will end up with-- he will still want to be a professional magician when his studies finish.
