It doesn't look like it. I think these ones are a specially printed packfor the holiday season where as the Tacticals are, if I'm right, just green versions of the rider backs.

Personally I use blue backs because I find them more visiually appealing. There's just something about them which makes them look suave.

It may also have to do with the fact that my first ever deck of bikes were blue.

All the best,

As a Magic Delaer over 75% of Bicycle Cards sold are Red Backs. It has always facinated me why people prefere them to Blue Back cards.

Personally I like red because their easier on the eyes but I believe blue is harder to track during affects.

I like red but prefer blue.

I prefer Blue for the same reason as Bananafish - it's easier to change from deck to deck and give the impression that it's the same deck in use (if you do it right of course). I also like to perform Colour Fusion which I think works better in a blue deck (without giving away why).

I'm playing around with green backs at the moment as I'm doing a corporate function in February and their colour is green.

generally blue, with a red or green dupe (if needed)
if greens were the same price i'd use them

I use both colors on a regular basis, and since I've been able to track down relatively cheap black back riders, I'm using them more and more.

On a personal note, I tend to do Red Hot Mama backwards (my body temp is high, so my hands are really warm - so I do a card turning cold, rather than hot), so unlike most - I prefer red backs for this kind of effect.

The only added benefit of a red back is that it's better suited for effects which involve writing/drawing on the back of the card. However, unless I'm doing these particular kinds of effects, I don't have a strong preference.

I prefer Reds, just because like stated, i find them easier for the eye and people seem to be more used to red backed playing cards. However i sawp each week between red bikes and blue bikes.
I'd probably use black tigers a lot more if they were the same price as standard bikes.
I'd always stay mainly with normal red or blues though, simply because i find tigers and other styles novelties and people don't seem to believe that they are genuine cards.

i buy a brick of cards from costco, so i get 6 red 6 blue, my friend likes reds more so i give him the red ones and i use the blue ones. it seems that with the blue backs you can get away with messed up double lifts more often then the red ones, it just seems that the blue backed deck has a darker color so they work even better at night. the red ones stand out more, i havent tried much with the red ones, but they seem plesent to the eyes, (IMO).
