Hi Guys

Just thought I would drop a quick line to say hello and introduce myself. My name is Ken Webster I have been a stage hypnotist for 25 years and been appearing at Blackpool Pleasure Beach UK every year for 35 weeks for the past 21 years.

I have recently been asked to do a 45 minute mentalism routine for a 30 date run in the Middle East and of course I said yes no problem..The reality is I have absolutely no manipulation skill at all, however after 25 years in the biz I can present very well.

I have been surfing the net for weeks and really need some help and advice, could anyone please answer the following for me :

I have had mixed reviews on Fabrice Delaure products does anyone recommend what they do ?

Labco Mindbuster any reviews ?
What is the difference between Labco`s UFO 2 and 3 and is the Argus Eye roughly the same effect.

Anyone heard of Pro Mystic Multi Dimensional and Red Handed ?

Are there any cheaper alternatives to any of the above ?

Thanks for taking your time to read this, I hope someone can help.

Kind Regards

Ken

Luckily, Mentalism is a lot more performance orientated than traditional Magic, so any kind of manipulation shouldn't be a problem.

I have absolutely no experience with the products you mentioned but can definately say this:

If you are genuinely interested in learning the fundamental principles of Mentalism and it's associated arts, buy "The 13 Steps to Mentalism" by Corinda and "Practical Mental Magic" by Anneman.

Hiya, welcome to TM. I'd go with Corinda and Annemann as great places to get you started. How long have you got to get this act ready?

Yep. I know who you are. I understand you do an X rated hypnosis show. Or at least I think you do. I have never seen it but I have seen your predecessor at the Pleasure Beach many times.

The great Lorde Payne, a superb showman now deceased.

I wish you luck in your quest for mentalism information. Mentalism doesn't in most cases need much manipulation. One requirement is a lot of bluff and guff. Of course as a stage hypnotist you will have plenty of that.
