BNP stock photography

For anyone who had a BNP leaflet drop through their letterbox and wondered how they managed to find more than one supporter, here's your answer:

It did mean they broke istockphoto licence terms though. Whoopsie

I don't like racists. They're stupid. And they smell of wee.

Thanks for the link Kolm, interesting stuff.

I remember downloading the BNP Members list(which I do actually believe was wrong to be published, but i had a look nonetheless, and being horribbly surprised at how many people lived frightfully close to me.

i think if you have the audacity to believe in something, you should have the courage of your convictions to stand by it, and be proud of it...

if these people are scared to have their beliefs out in the open, then they should be labelled as cowards - as all racists are...

as well as frightful little s**ts...

I'm glad they published it...

That happy-clappy BNP flyer would be funny if it wasn't genuine. :(

I bear no love for the BNP, but I'm not seeing any obvious breach of a photo licence here. Assuming they paid to use the photos and didn't just lift them from the stock catalogue, they have every right to use them in their advertising.

What's more embarrassing for them is that the shot of the workmen is known to be American models in an American-made photo. Given the nature of stock shots, others very likely are from the USA as well. Which makes the slogan "British jobs for British workers" sound rather hollow.

Not too long ago an agency produced a rather important brochure for the City of Birmingham which involved a panoramic image of the city. Several thousand of these were printed off before someone spotted the stock photo they used was indeed of Birmingham. Birmingham, Alabama.... :D

You're not allowed to use the photography in any way that depicts endorsement by the model
