Mmmm, brass goggles. No mad scientist should be without a pair. I wrote a community showcase about Steampunks before Christmas, which appeared in last month's PC Plus - including an interview with the great Jake Von Slatt. A very cool dude.

I had superb service from the Victorian Costume site earlier this year, Pat is a very helpful sort and if there are any questionsn she's happy to chat by phone to help answer them. My frock coat for the Mid Hall evening came from there.

If you're looking for bowler hats and top hats, try Top Man/Top Shop - reasonably priced and you can try them on before buying.

What about the fullsome fop?

My turgid torso never looks attractive in such attire.

The shoes, though, I could get away with the shoes ...

There are a couple of interesting items at the Historical Emporium which might have mentalist/magical possibilities!

Illuminated Civil War Poker Deck
Fabulous gold leafing highlights this historically accurate deck. Based on a Civil War era deck by A. Dougherty of New York City, these square cornered playing cards feature full-length single-ended court figures, and have no corner indices. Packaged in an upright case for display.

An elegant addition to your next card game. Item: 000780W $14.95

and

Brothel Tokens
A reproduction period chit promising a night of pleasure and escape. Order several, and use them for stakes in an upcoming poker game, or give them to a deserving comrade.

Our stock varies, so our choice, please. Item: 000511W $3.00 per token

That second item would be great for coin work or as markers and you'd have fun explaining what they were, 'Thank you Vicar, just hold on to this Brothel token please.....'!

I have a set from ebay. There nice I use them for a couple of gambling routines. They are quite large though; a bit over an inch across and then very thin and light. My original intention had been to use them for a few flourishes as an in extra Mississippi Sam from Blackhart. However the size made them unsuitable for that. A little awkward for some coin work, but they certainly would be fine for markers.
