Afternoon all,

Just a quick one really wondering if anyone has used this company before:

http://www.ukplayingcardcompany.co.uk

Would just like to know of peoples experiences before typing in credit card details and placing a large ish order.

Cheers

No experience of them at all but you could compare the prices with those at www.cards4magic.co.uk - somewhat less expensive in many cases, especially the gaff cards, 3.1/2 Clubs which is £2.99 vs £1.00.

Bear in mind that Cards4Magic charge for postage whereas UKPCC offer free second class postage. I've never heard of UKPCC, though, so that's not an endorsement.

I've just spoken to this company and they do seem ok. Interestingly it looks like they have a sister site called discountmagic.co.uk, where I've seen some incredibly cheap decks.
Have just picked up a deck of Tiger Bikes to make up an ID for £4.89.
And postage is very cheap! All seems good.
Will let TM know my experience once the order's complete and arrived.

Received all orders really quickly. Not a snag in sight.
It really is the cheapest I've found some of the special cards to be.
One to bear in mind!

I've used discountmagic.co.uk and had no problems. They were pretty helpful to me.

intersetingly, discountmagic.co.uk and ukplayingcardcompany.co.uk are owned by the same small umbrella company, and the products are dispatched from the same offices...yet there are so many price differences.

Its not a bad thing, but I was just curious if anyone knows the reasoning behind it? Is it as simple as £££?

I don't know Thaumaturge. Until seeing this thread, I didn't know the companies were connected in any way. I've seen some organisations do this to test marketing strategies using different websites, sales pitch, pricing structure and such like. Maybe that's what they are doing. It makes good business sense.

Their service is good. I got my order through today and am pleased with it, packaging, speed of delivery and price. :)
