Following on from the hugely successful, Bicycle Tiger Black Deck and Black Deck with Red Pips,
Ellusionist.com are releasing Viper Tally Ho Silver Decks, they look absolutely sweet.

Anyone thinking of getting these?
Does anyone know if they'll do first edition ones, like they did for the Black Deck? - I wanna get some framed first editions...hmmmm!!?

In case anyone hasn't had the latest news, I just had an email ringing the bells and blowing the whistles on these things. The details are:

BLACK VIPER TALLY-HO CARDS FINALLY RELEASED!!
LIMITED SUPPLY - FIRST EDITION!!
Greetings!
You'll marvel at the feeling that spreads in your hands when you crack the black seal on your first deck of professional Viper Cards and spread them.

Enter a new world of handling and card performance. Witness the luxury of being and staying ahead of the rest, by using the new Viper Deck to accomplish true card magic.

What is Viper?
Begin with an ordinary Tally-Ho Deck, reverse image it and then change all that is white to a metallic matte silver. Then change the hearts and diamonds to a deep blood red. Then give the deck the power- handling UV500 Air-Flow Finish created by Ellusionist strictly for magicians and flourishers and you've got the most exclusive and beautiful deck of cards in the world.

Respect and Admiration is Due
The Viper Deck is so elegant and slick that when you first see it you picture a gentleman riverboat gambler, tall and powerful, dressed in the finery of the day, sitting at a card table dealing his cards and simply winning every hand. There is nothing like Viper® in the world, yet it maintains familiarity with the same distinguished markings as a normal Tally- Ho® Circle Back Deck.

It's long been thought that Tally-Ho brand was the highest quality card in the world. Enter the Viper.

::: Everything we learned in the manufacture of the Bicycle Black Tiger Deck was painstakingly infused into Viper - and more

USER REVIEW " Awesome cards! The cards themselves are like a dream. The fresh ink never smelled better! I never liked the idea of the red pipped cards on the Tigers, but on the Vipers, they look wonderful! The silver is 100% better than the white that was on the Tigers. They literally shine.

"I did a riffle pass and bent about 1/4 of the deck at around a 45 degree angle, and with a few flicks, they were virtually flattened out again! Whatever it is, the UV Finish or that special something, these cards are awesome."
- George Hodgson, NY, USA

"DUDE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This deck IS SIIIIIICK, DUDE!!! I mean, I know that they've got the same finish as the Black Deck, but it almost "feels" different... like I feel a more legitimate card handler when I use these Tally's, I dunno how to explain it. Maybe it's just the name, maybe it's just personal perception, whatever. I just know that these are as high quality as my all time favs, the Black Tiger Deck, but it's on somewhat of a... oh, I dunno, "classier" level? The Black Tiger just seems so rough, rugged and raw, like the imagery and everything... very voodoo-esque. The Black Vipers seem to demand a certain level of elegance, though, like, even though they're black, the silver print and the box, and have the name "Viper" on them, it just seems to demand "First Class"... Y'know, it might be that super fancy Ace of Spades!! Man, now THAT'S an Ace design!!! Almost good enought to have on the back of a t-shirt!! This deck is it!!"

"These things just look and feel and handle so crazily good, I was almost sad when I shuffled them for the first time."
- Michael, E.Forums.

So there you are - a rather laid back and very low key promotion (!) but it sounds good even if they did spell metallic as "metalllic"!

i actually bought these... and i hate to say it.. but they handle VERY smoothly... BUT the pack that i opened the edges of the cards are pretty rough... maybe just a 3rd cut deck or others may be like this also... but having said that the do fan beautifully.... BUT i know theres gonna be a lot of people who hate the whole idea of black faced cards if i remember correctly from the "Tiger" deck threads

I note that Magic Box have these on offer at the moment for £3.99 per deck, both circle and fan backs.

The cheapest that I've seen them up until now has been £5.99
