Gordon Ramsey

It seems that while in Australia Gordon Ramsey was a guest on a chat show and asked the woman interviwer if "That was a wart on her face, or her twin sister". He also went on toapparently insult the star by showing a picture of her with a pigs head on and allegedly called her a lesbian.

Gordon was really angry at the way the comments came over and felt betrayed by the fact that his private life was mentioned when he'd asked for it not to be. It seems that Gordon has now apologised for what he said, in a very big way too.

I have to say...I feel sorry for him and others such as Jeremy Clarkson, they do say things to make a fool of you but in a way isnt that what we expect from celebs such as these. It was said in jest and the woman even kept the insults in her show so she cant have felt that insulted.

There's children dying all around us, terrible wars going on around the world...but all is well because Gordon Ramsey said sorry. Is that really worth news headlines...afew silly jokes, I think its very sad. If the woman concerned had issues she sshould have said something at the time, instead now its become 'Major Shock News'.

oh shut up you foolish woman! :D

*joke*

i agree - and to be honest, it was said to an australian! of all people!

they are some of the most loudmouthed, rude, obnoxious types i've ever met...they even put mark lewis in the shade...

and he's scottish (but has done the decent thing and hidden in Canada)!

you know what gets me most about aussies - how they try and talk to us about culture and heritage...

and its breeding season for them too right now, summer time brings them out in england, behind out bars...like pump-handling bees...

ramsay is a bit of a comedy chef nowadays..a pastiche of himself...you cant take anything he says seriously...especially "of course i wasnt having an affair"

I think you're mixing the aussies with Americans

I happen to love Gordon, usually catch both of his shows when I can (sadly, most are now repeats). I don't know, there's just something about him that feels... well... familiar

What I found odd was that Ramsey said that the remarks about the reporter being like a pig were off the cuff, and arose because of something someone said to him. But he did have the doctored photograph on him.
Does he go around with hundreds of doctored pictures in case someone mentions a celebrity in his presence?
And he only issued the apology after a bollocking from his mother.
I am a big fan of the man, but I think he has made a plonker of himself on this occasion.

I know he can come across rude....and he is, but to say sorry for a joke which was left in a show I just think is going too far. I heard Gordon talking yesterday about what happened and he seemed half the man that he normally is. I dont like that at all.
