Hey guys, I'm new to this forum... in a way... this site is usualy my first stop to check out product reviews and what not, always been helpful.. so I decided I might as well join after lurking for close to 3 years
I'm just getting back into magic after a pretty long break (close to a year)
I decided to get back into it after having a conversation with my girlfriend about chris angel, got up and performed the Balducci levitation and she completley flipped her lid... followed with a few really good card tricks and the few other tricks I've been doing since I was about 14 years old and will never stop doing... she was blown away... and that got my juices flowin for magic again
I am basicaly a beginner, possibly intermediate.. I was getting really freakin good with my M5 before I lost it about a year ago
until now, I really tried to stay away from card tricks... But I'm starting to gain an interest in them.. pretty sure I've givin myself carpel tunnel syndrome this last week practicing some new sleights... the dreaded 'pass' being one of them. If anyone could point me in the right direction for some GOOD beginner level dvds for the pass that would be most appreciated. I already own 'pass with care' by cassidy, and ninja 1 by ellusionist (

Other than that, I like to stick with ESP/mental/PK type effects, the spookier the better. I think my next purchase will be something to do with IT... again, any recomendations props/dvds/books would be great, I have 'sleight of mind' by nyrup, and also 'pure effect' by derren brown.. both excellent works.
I'm also learning the art of hypnosis... mostly the rapid/instant induction type stuff. I got 'reality is plastic' by antony jacquin a few months ago, great stuff, and a dvd by that 'kein' fellow (cant remember his first name) on rapid inductions, it's more for a clinical setting, but it's helped me immenslely none the less
