An icon of my youth...had a poster of her on my wall. It is indeed very sad.

Poor woman. She was a real beauty and I have deep respect for anyone with the will and courage to fight such an awful disease. At least she's at peace now.

I had a picture from Look In magazine of her, Jacqueline Smith and Kate Jackson as Charlie's Angels on my wall in the '70s. Mmm, spandex.

How's this for coincidence? George Orwell's father died of exactly the same rectal cancer as Fawcett exactly 80 years ago.

Seeing as the tone is already below the floor... Isn't it strange that Fawcet and Jackson died on the same day? She used to play with Majors and he used to play with Minors...

PLEASE DON'T BAN ME

Go for it, I did. I'm aimlessly flicking though tv channels trying to find one that isn't saying "And now in a change to our scheduled program, a tribute to the life of Michael Jackson".

Farah was the face of the 70's - a real babe in her day.

Another era ends
