This is a fairly cheap effect to re-purchase, why not buy another?

Although I understand it is a pain when something that you like breaks, you feel resentment having to re-place it, especially when you have already paid for the secret.

That is true, but there is still the cost associated with producing the gimmick. Which is why I think effects that utilise gimmicks should make available the gimmick on its own, for less cost than the gimmick+secret package.

Yep I need a couple of new shiny backed/fromt card for one of my purchased tricks but they do not get sold seperately.........I have to rebuy the trick for 15 quid........and even then it is random selection which cards you get so the whole trick will be pooped up.

I'm not sure I understand the problem, why not just get a deck of the gimmick you need you can purchase entire decks of blanks, double face, double back etc, you can even purchased a mixed deck of gimmicks.
