If you are going to see Derren tonight, keep an eye out for the other magical D.B, because according to his twitter, Mr Blaine is going to see Enigma tonight too. :)

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

It's a pity David Blaine isn't seeing Derren's previous show, he could have sat in that perspex box which was hanging over the stage all evening!

Let us know what you thought (and if Blainey was there). I saw it on Saturday and thought it a most excellent show. The coin thing in particular stood out as a lovely effect and of course the denoument was epic and inexplicable. Might have to record it on telly at xmas and see if I can reverse engineer my little heart out.

Hello Talkmagic

Unfortunately I am to busy to go and see Derren’s show this time.

I did however get the pleasure of seeing an Evening of Wonders in Reading last year, which was inspiring.

My friend is picking me up a brochure from this week’s performance and having it signed for me, which is very nice of him.

The thought of Blaine being there somewhat puts me off (chuckles)

Much love and energy

There was hardly anybody at the stage door last Thursday. Whether that was down to the heatwave, or just because there weren't many hardcore fans at the show, I can't say. But it might be encouraging news for those who do want to hang around afterwards!

Sarah and I were there yesterday evening. I didn't see David B but I did bump into Iain and Greedoniz in the pub beforehand. They were bending glasses and drinking whisky.

I went to see the show on June 17th, my 33d birthday. Mrs Grimshaw and i went to the stage door at the end and hung around eagerly but sadly got the announcement that Derren wasnt coming out. I did chat to Coops, his PA, for a bit though. Lovely bloke.

So near, and yet so bloody far. I didnt know i was going to see the show, Mrs Grimshaw woke me up and gave me a card with the tickets in bless her all to hell and back, so i thought if i could meet the man on my birthday too i probably wouldnt need another birthday, and could just stay 33.

Interested to know what any of you thought about the show.

I too thought the coin effect was lovely, and kind of summed up Derren's instruction in Absolute Magic about making magic personal to the spectator. The girl at the 17th show was clearly touched, it was a real moment.

We were fortunate enough to see Derren come out but he was in a mad rush and could only jog along the queue signing whatever was thrust under his nose, I urged Mrs Bronz to get her lady bumps signed but she churlishly refused so all I got was a lousy card.

Apart from the coin thing the one that stuck out most for me was the guess who bit at the beginning. Really really blew me away cos it looked so clean. The somnambulism section and spirit cabinet were cool and a nice continuation of the second half history lesson theme he seems to have.

I waited for over an hour....he was so ill when he came out I actually felt bad.

But even with illness he is the sorta guy who is loaded but no a complete (wont say it) very friendly and makes every effort for us to walk away thinking what a nice guy.

I WILL be going next year if he tours.
