As I am new, I am just trying to get a feel for what is right or wrong!? I have been reading some other threads, and trying to get a feel for everything. I am correct to assume (by reading other threads) that it is okay to pm another tm user and discuss tips and secrets as long as it is outside the public domain? Please let me know, as I do not want to cross lines on this discussion board (it appears to be a valuable resource, and I don't want to be breaking any rules)

Pretty much, tips are fine, just dont reveal the secret of a certain effect.
The rules are different in the secrets forums, but you have to gain access there first

Pretty much right. What goes on in PMs is private but most members will frown on any attempts to 'exchange secrets' however, once it has been established that both parties have an effect it is perfectly ok to talk about it freely over pm.
