Thank you very much for the responses. Nice piece of reviewing and plenty to get my teeth in to.

If i could just recommend Corel Video Studio. I toiled with the hell that is Windows Movie Maker for ' fun ' video projects, then realised i wasn't having any fun.

Corel Video Studio is really good for the price, some nice effects etc, but the best thing is the ease of use. PLUS, you can sample it for a month from Download dot com, and since it only takes a couple of hours to get used to, you'll have loads of time left to concentrate on the project and therefore may be able to strike a software program from your budget.

Enjoy.

I am looking for a reasonably priced VERY easy to use editing package. I am erally struggling with editing hence the emphasis on the very easy!

I'm a real fan of Serif software. They're the best value for money for any kind of serious productivity software. Serif MoviePlus is an excellent and powerful video editing package, and even easy enough for me to use. I have MoviePlus 5, but I see they've moved on several editions since then.
