Hi all,

This story just makes me all warm inside. Soppy, yes. But, it's really nice anyway.

Juan Mann was having a really hard time in life and found himself alone in Sydney, with no family or friends around him. He was desperate for some human contact and took to the streets, holding a sign with the words "Free Hugs". The rest is history and quite an astonishing story. Talk about viral!

The link to YouTube is the official video (there are many others) and I challenge anyone to watch it without a smile. The lady who appears at 44 seconds is just awe inspiring. I never get tired of watching this, it always cheers me up and restores my faith in people

What a joke. One of the replies had it spot on when they said, a paedo could walk around the park with nobody to challenge them, yet someone dressed as a penguin, handing out leaflets is a potential danger? Unbelievable.

that's because the point of the CRB certificate is that it mitigates the risks to the organisation, not to the vulnerable.

Under other circumstances, seeing a sign saying 'FREE HUGS' would prompt some people to ask what he'd been imprisoned for and were Amnesty International doing anything about it?
