Unlikely, we never agree on anything like that! As soon as a list seems to be finalised, someone mentions another possibility and the debate starts all over again....

search. you will find many discussions.

you get out of this world mentioned, then every man and his dog posts their thoughts on which version is the best..

I expect there are many, many such lists, but certainly none of them will be agreed upon by everyone. In my opinion, OOTW is up there with the best of them (Derren's version is great), as is Richard Osterlind's Test Condition Card Trick, which uses his excellent BCS stack. Superb trick, that.

After 60 years, I never even knew there were ten GOOD card tricks, never mind BEST.

Would you settle for "the ten card tricks least likely to leave audiences asleep", Peter?

The Lexicographer's Nightmare from the second supplement to volume 3 of Card College ought to be up there. One of those great effects that you simply can't describe, only show. Wish I had the knuckles for it.

then the only thing left is the method.

no such thing as the definitive best 10 ten ever for anything...

only YOUR top ten...so perform them, whittle 'em down to suit you - and there's your list! :D

ok, there is never a definite list, but we must be able to get a zone.

would man utd be in top ten of uk football teams?

would watford?

what tricks win more close up competitions

side walk shuffle?

I sympathise with Peter Marucci but I am sure he will agree that it isn't the card trick's fault. In fact the poor little card trick is innocent in most cases. It isn't anything whatever to do with the trick itself. It is the showmanship of the performer which is the important thing.

A good showman can make virtually any card trick entertaining. And a showman can make a good card trick (of which there are actually many) into a miracle indeed.

ok..
of the billions of card tricks out there, my personal favorites, are....

Stewart James.... Miraskill

Paul Curry.. out of this world.

Geminii twins

The circus card trick, and the 4 burgulars.. both old standbys. Your thinking cheese... but both effects are explained by Daryl on his reveal dvds, and he rates them highly.

there are a few pet favorites, but since i use my own methods, and not the published ones... i wont list them here. :)

Doesn't this go back to the old idea of knowing hundreds of tricks versus knowing only two or three extremely well?

One must sift through the c*** (not the best) to find the diamond, or one would never appreciate the diamond.

Mark Lewis is correct; we can't blame the poor, little cards!

Save the blame for the big, incompetent dolt who insists on jamming a fan of cards in everyone's face with the admonition: "Take a card; take a card!"
