Who was the famous female singer/dancer/actress that had a very special large scaled vanish illusion created for her act at Caesar's Palace and what was the effect?

Didn't Celene Dion feature a huge free floating piano in her original Vegas show?

you know, she could also of had the large scale vanish.
she opened her mouth... and the audience dissapeared.

Nope... you're both wrong... go back to the early 70's I think it was.

The original prop, as I understand it, was built by John Daniel, Les Smith and Kirkham... I can't recall all the details.

The person in question was a huge sex symbol in the late 60s and even had a feature spot in the old Flintstone cartoons.

The reason behind the effect and why she requested something like it, was to prove she wasn't afraid of getting back on the "horse" and riding it again after a near fatal accident involving said "horse". (you older guys should figure it out now).

It must be Ann-Margret, but I've no idea what the effect was.

I didn't know until I went looking, but apparently she fell off a raised stage and suffered some nasty facial injuries (along with other broken bones), so presumably if she wanted to get 'back on the horse', it was some kind of vanish or levitation from an elevated platform.

BINGO!

Think about it, Ann suffered a horrific Motorcycle accident... I think it was in 73. For her big return she wanted to open with her on a bike so the team came up with the Bangle Net style of the Motorcycle Vanish and transposition.
