That was nice, although I'm never fond of doing the M.F. that way it's too awkward almost like "ok I will know go out of the room and fetch your card from the deck".

But overall 't was smooth.

There's a good bit of instruction on the MF on Jay Sankey's 'Anytime, anywhere' DVD which might be useful.

Otherwise, well done.

One of the important part of magic is the element of surprise. By naming a clip: Magic Trick - Card From Mouth! ruins that part of the trick. I don't understand why you have to hide your hands for so long behind your back. A simple Mercury fold would be better. Also - you should stick the card out of your mouth and leave it there long enough for the spectator to see it there. Then bring your hand up to take it.

Jay Sankey teaches the Mercury Fold in pretty good detail in his Paper Clipped DVD.

I think the deck stayed near your mouth too long to fool the audience. Any intelligent person watching would guess that you put the card in your mouth while doing the whole blowing thing. The time misdirection might help, but it still seems like too obvious of a moment.

Also, it doesn't make sense to do a pass, then a shuffle control (which I think I saw you do). Why not just use the shuffle to control it from the start? And along those lines of thought, if you're going to shuffle the deck, it doesn't make sense to cut the deck where they say stop. It would make more sense to do an overhand shuffle and have the person say stop while you're shuffling, then use an overhand shuffle control to get it to the top or bottom. If you're not performing for a magician, there's really no point in mentioning there's no break. Especially after a shuffle.

Just my two cents.

I didn't really understand the point of the whole blowing thing, it doesn't seem to make any logical sense to me and just cries out that there's something funny going on.

I can only echo the comments made above.
The fold should be worked on, so you do it up front.

also your misdirection and patter needs work, as these two things are what makes the effect work.

you're like Yoda.you dont say much, but what you do say is worth listening to....

I'd have to say not bad at all. I agree with most of the people who posted before me. At least you didn't hand the card to the spectator after pulling it out of your mouth. I saw a restaurant magician once pull a card from his mouth and then put the card on the table. Gross.

To be very critical. I am a firm believer in "Packaging sells" You are putting this out on the internet for the world to see. At least clean up.

Otherwise not bad.

David Stone did that in Blackpool last year, but only after he sprayed the card with disinfectant and put it in a plastic bag! :D

Thanks for the comments... I've performed this trick a few times and made the routine up myself without books, etc so I don't think I did to bad... I have tricked many people with this performance and everyone loves it!

And that is the difference between somebody that thinks about and respects their audience and one that doesn't
