I think it is surface tension rather than air pressure that cuases capillary action actually, but I wouldn't want to be picky!

Got my first pack of the red's today and these are even better than the standard tigers. Fantastic quality.

I like to do an Erdnase colour change from a standard tiger (white pips) into a red tiger card with a story about the tigers fangs drawing blood.

The cards alone seem to fascinate the spectators without any magic!

Err... actually, yes. If you had any interest in the subject (and to avoid repeating old information at the risk of looking naive) then surely you would read. That's the whole point of the forum.

Hi all, (I'm new to this board, by the way)

Seems like Black Deck cravers are located almost everywhere around the globe -- including here in Japan. I see some Japanese auctioners selling a deck for over $20 and I'm like ...why not get from Ellusionist, $7 each or even cheaper when bulk ordering.

Anyway, I just got a Black Deck...I was a bit skeptical before opening the package, but what a coolness!! I know now what it's like to be a laymen again. Now I can produce the deck out of my pocket without worrying about spectators' suspicion. I'm impressed by the overall quality of the product compared to other brands. Handling is very smooth and great for fanning/spreading. This will be the gem in the arena of flourishing.

I noticed one thing a bit strange, and it's that the edges started to "go white" as I played around with the deck heavily. So I took the sharpie and blackend the edges -- how long do you think it will last? -- and I was wondering if there were people like myself.

I picked up the tip about blackening the edges with a sharpie elsewhere on TM and although I onlybring out the tigers from time to time, they've stayed black for a good six months. I found that it best to give them two coats of sharpie ink.

Today I looked again at the deck from different angles and some were still white. I then took up a sharpie and went on to blacken the edges one by one....seems like I should've done this first.

So I've read on a forum in Japan; checked with MGC myself and it was confirmed. The heavy circulation of Black Decks in Japan would begin around July, says the customer service.

Now.....how many of you actually use Black Decks? Do you ever take care of them (i.e. blackening the edges), or you just buy heaps and use the worn out ones for practicing card manipulation etc?

I got two decks of black tigers the minute i saw them, they do look quite amazing and always increase the visual appeal of any flourish, as many of you have already stated color chages look awesome i love during the marlo snap change with the red and black pips, though i feel that the quality of the cards is not as good as the regular bycycle decks mine have not stood the test of time as well as my other decks but hey maybe thats just me playing around with them too much . All in all a good product.
