Since this thread was revived I'd like to breathe some new life into it but with a slight shift on perspective; the creation of a TM Study Thread, so to speak -- a Library.
The idea would be take the more solid materials that have been contributed by several members here that cover the different facets of the craft. So maybe this "library" has sub-sections on Coins, Card Work, Character Development, Marketing, etc.
It's NOT a section where people can reply directly... I'm not certain how to answer that issue, my thought being to leave the main articles "clean" and set as Stickies all by themselves. But we would need a way for those that read these things, to respond and thus, offer questions if need be.
I believe a Poll styled setting such as you find in the MySpace Blogs via which kudos can be awarded, will give each feature a way of gaining endorsement by the readers. This would satisfy their need to give a thumbs up (or down) while keeping the main article "clean" and clutter free.
Why the concern over replies?
Just look at my
"Becoming a Mentalist" essay and how many replies you would have to wade through, just to find a possibly response in which I answer questions. I've seen this in other essays as well. If we could have a Q&A section that's associated with each essay would create more of a focus and ease in finding answers.
This would be a very unique addition to TM that would set it far apart from the majority of forums out there; a valuable asset for us all!
