My signed $10 bill in a tangerine, whats this called?

Postby lethal_mp » Sep 13th, '09, 14:40

I'd like to learn this trick, it was done on me while I was home on R&R at the Jersey shore...

Magician lets spectator choose between two tangerines. Chosen one ends up in a bag that spectator holds in fullview. Magician asks me for money, has me sign a $10 bill and writes a few other details from other spectators on it. He proceeds to eat the $10 bill, shows the audience a two card monte stunt than asks if we want to see the $10 bill. We all of course say yes, he takes the bag from the dude, has the guy open the tangerine with a knife and presto, the signed $10 bill is folded up in the tangerine.

Anyone know what this trick is called or how I'd be able to pull it off?

We can't teach you how the trick is done, but I'm presuming it's similar to bill in lemon?

Not sure how much I can give away - there are numerous DVDs you can get with similar effects. I've got a 'Bill in Kiwi' effect that I guess will be similar - PM me if you want to know more.

One that paul danield performed was my favourite.....

Signed bill in a walnut in an egg in a lemon.....I am sure you have all seen this one.

he take the nut and drops it into his hand where the egg is and the nut disapears then he drops the egg into his hand where a lemon is.....some of the plants and slights are obvious if you know how they are done but other bits had me bafled and I lvoed it.

The version you saw is called the Final Answer, but it is no longer available. Second hand sets can crop up from time to time on eBay, usually in the 150-250 pound range.

Take care, Ian
