Mind Blasters 2 (an e-book of 62 mental effects)

Postby marcpaul » Sep 14th, '09, 17:03

I have some VERY exciting news, Peter Duffie has done it again! He has complied ANOTHER gigantic e-book of
top quality mentalism from England's top performers. If you liked the first MIND BLASTERS you are going to love
this sequal, MIND BLASTERS 2.

62 brand new killer effects (47 non-card effects / 15 card effects), described over 45 chapters (226 pages!) and here's the really good part,
Peter has decided to put this whole mammoth eBook out for just £15

I personally have contributed an entire chapter called "Squared Thoughts". This contains THREE complete routines...

"The Psychedlic Square" - A very visual number prediction using a multi-coloured Magic Sqaure.
"T.A.R.P Squared" - A radical new approach to "The Almost Real Prediction".
"The Believe it or Not Prediction"- So called because I couldn't believe the beauty of the final solution....and neither will you!

And as you have come to expect from me two of these routines are AAA meaning that you can perform them Any time, Any place
without Any props, just a piece of paper and some pens!

Some of the highlights from other contributors that I picked out from a very quick skim reading are:

A routine with a big laugh pay-off from Wayne Dobson that he originally marketed for more than the cost of this e-book!!!

A very strong and direct dictionary test from Simon Shaw, that can be adapted to many uses.

A reworking of Orville Meyers Tervil with added conviners from John Holt.

If you don't like tearing or folding billets, Andi Gladwin has a solution for you. A super fast peek with no awkward moves that can be used anywhere.

A dark routine from Doug Segal where you re-create The Shadow's ablity to "cloud the minds of men" (and women if you like!). It looks just like a Jedi mind trick.

Tom Lauten has a spectator playing a game with one of your dead relatives!!! He included the amazing photo reveal that will blow the spectators mind.

Harold Cataquet even gives you a practical method of creating bursts of star light in the night sky that are genuinely out of this world!

There are some seriously good ideas here. In fact I could go on raving about other ideas but why don't you have a look for yourself.
Click on the link below and you will open a PDF of the full (detailed) Table of Contents.

Take a look and see for yourself what I'm talking about.

This book has only just become available, Peter only finished it a few days ago. If you would like a copy of this really great book you can instantly download it from my website...

www.marcpaul.com/MindBlasters2.htm

Thanks for taking the time to read this email. I don't very often get excited by items that come on the market but both this book and its predessor have got to be the best buys in mentalism today.

62 great mentalism routines from some of England's top names for £15.

Get it quick before Peter realises that this is way, way to cheap!

All the best

Marc

Excellent news; this is great value at £15. The first one was a must-have and I expect this will feature similar, quality material from some of the biggest names in the business. Expect an order from me shortly!

Happily, i received a free copy.

Highly recommended. Apart from the effects Marc mentions (and I do like his magic square) there's a fascinating effect by Dr Todd that caught my eye.

These would be very restricted advance copies and not generally available. The purchase price is very reasonable and Mindblasters are well worth the cost.

It's very easy to qualify for a free copy. You just have to contribute one of the effects. It's a bit late for this one, but there's always MindBlasters 3....possibly....

I agree with Mandrake. At the asking price it's a no-brainer.

What level would you say this book is? I'm wondering if it's worth buying it now and "saving it for later" or just waiting until I am ready and buying Mindblasters IX?

It's not really on "a level" because it's made up of contributions by numerous individual writers. I'd say there's something for everyone. If nothing else you'll enjoy the read.

Knowing the effect that Tom has in it...( Remember the first Tab meeting Barry, he premiered it there)
I would say that at least one of the effects is suitable for a novice.
And that effect is rather superb too! :)

That contents list that Mandrake posted can also be viewed in Marc's initial post (first link), although, oddly, the effects appear in a different order.
