Antonio de Avalon

Postby jim ferguson » Sep 15th, '09, 19:38

I remember seeing an episode of the Paul Daniels Magic Show in which John Vaughn? (spelling) presented a clockwork doll called Antonio de Avalon. The doll originally belonged to Robert Houdin and there is at least one picture of him with it. It did a trapeeze act and for the finale started the bar swinging without any assistance. Does anyone know if there is any footage of this available anywhere ?

It's John Gaugahn and the only one I can find is overdubbed into Spanish so you can't hear all the sound track - http://video.google.co.uk/videosearch?h ... l=en&emb=0 - click John Gaughan - Restaurador y coleccionista de Automatas

About 3 mins 45 seconds in it gets interesting!
