Isn't The Impromptu Book Test just an old magic method? I remember doing this method of HOLDING the book 10 to 20 years ago. What is new here?
I also remember John Riggs showing this method on one of his DVD's. Sure it is impromptu but it has been done before. I bought this a long time ago and ended up just throwing it in the trash as they say. The reason is that I have ALREADY seen and knew about this method long before this came out.
There are mentalist who are not well grounded in magic methods and just do not know that they are re-inventing the wheel and have really just re-discovered an old magic method.
To be fair, I will say that, what is old is new again. So all the new guys who haven't lived as long as me (I am OLD) will see this as a new method.

Another impromptu Book Test is the AAA version by Marc Paul. No prep and works every time. It's limited in terms of which word is used but it's never failed for me.

I concur. The AAA book test is by far my favourite. It is very easy to do (it does take balls though), so you can put all your energy into the presentation of it.
